The Whitetail Detail is all about the details. That is why I am excited to offer custom arrow building services. Arrow building can be a very meticulous process, at times coming down to individual grains of weight. Arrow building is also something I love doing and take very seriously. From start to finish my arrow building process ensures that every cut is clean and square, every adhesion is strong, and every arrow gets the same level of dedication I put into my own.
The Order To The Arrows
From the moment you fill out the request form until your arrows arrive at your door it is my goal to ensure clear expectations and exceptional quality. Below walks through the process start to finish laying out pricing, required information, expectations, and everything in between.
Initial Contact
Utilize the contact information at the bottom of this page to let me know you are interested!. I am available through call, text, email, and instagram. Please be aware there will need to be some communication method that allows you to easily fill out the Arrow Builder Form, email being the easiest. While it is not necessary, it is extremely beneficial to read through the sample Arrow Builder Form and begin to gather the information requested in it.
Pricing
Pricing is simple but is unique to each build, it is Total = supplies cost + $60/dozen. You are responsible for shipping to me, return shipping (standard ground) included to continental US. Expedited shipping is an option, at your cost.
Once we discuss and finalize your personal arrow build and every aspect of the arrow is agreed upon, I will send you an estimate. Due to the wildly massive variation in arrow component options, there is no standard or set fee for any supplies category. Even something as simple as field points can have significant price differences depending on what you are looking for. The estimate will include an itemized list of every component of your choosing with its respective individual and total price, the total supplies cost, the $60 build and shipping fee.
Timeline
Timelines will weight heavily on a few factors. Communication, supplies stock and access those out of stock, build time, backlog, and shipping. A ship by date will be provided in the estimate. Due to the vast variety of components, please understand that I may need to source and order less common pieces/sizes.
The Build
The arrow building process I follow ensures that every cut, angle, and glue is precise and consistent. Cleanliness and meticulous attention to detail ensure that there will be no second thought as to which arrow you pull out of your quiver when that crucial time comes. From the first cut through the post build durability test, there is zero room for compromise or shortcuts.
All components of all arrow builds will be thoroughly tested to ensure that they can endure standard wear and tear with the toughest archery materials. Sticking in a compressed foam target won't cut it. Whether you are pulling your arrow out of a Rinehart for the 100th time or its passing through a deer and sticking into the ground, I want it all to work right. No more arrows getting stuck in bag targets, fletchings coming off, or inserts pulling out.
Req. Info
All requested information can be found in sample Arrow Builder Form below. While it is not necessary to have all of this information to build arrows, to take full advantage of having them custom built it is strongly recommended. Everything from the age of your bow string to your insert material can and will effect your arrow flight. Beginning with the most comprehensive set of information will provide the best end product in the shortest amount of time.
Important notes if you want to provide your own supplies, PLEASE READ ALL!
I do accept client provided supplies, the following rules/stipulations do apply:
- Arrow shafts must be uncut/unglued new arrow shafts. Any arrow shafts that have been modified in any way will not be accepted to be worked on. It is preferred that client supplied arrow shafts are in their factory box/packaging, though this is not necessary.

- All other arrow building supplies can be provided in any condition but will be evaluated for quality and usability. Any supplies that show any kind of structural flaw or instability will immediately be rejected and not be used in the build.

- If you answered “standard” to any of the supplies on the Arrow Builder Form and are sending your own arrows, please supply all factory supplied parts. If you answered “standard” and choose to send me only arrow shafts you will have to ship me the remaining parts at your time and expense or pay for them as part of the supplies charge.

-All client provided supplies must be shipped to me at the clients expense. Any supplies not used will be returned to the client with their arrows.
Additional Important Notes

Being that I do not have your bow, and even if I did I would not shoot it the same as you, I cannot perform advanced tuning like bare shaft tuning and paper tuning.

While I put as much effort and care into building you the best set of arrows I can; no matter how straight, even, and consistent they are they cannot make up for improper bow setup or flaws in form/shooting.

With this being the case, if requested I can send a bare shaft arrow back to you so that you can use it to perform this advanced tuning yourself or have someone help you. If this is requested, the arrow will be one out of your set. You are welcome to send it back once tuned and I will finish building it to match the rest at no additional parts/labor cost, but you will be responsible for all shipping both to me and back to you.
